Welcome to our website
Music House is a collective of three professional, experienced and qualified music teachers who offer private lessons in piano, guitar, electric bass, music theory, composition and harpsichord in the Bloor West Village area of Toronto, Canada. We are dedicated to bringing musical creativity to our community.
At Music House, we pride ourselves on helping our students discover their individual musical voices. To be sure, this means being consistently involved with their musical development and giving them a solid foundation on which to build, but it doesn't stop there. A student may be auditioning at a university music program and needs to study for a Royal Conservatory of Music theory exam; a middle-aged professional who was in a rock band as a teen wants to brush up on her chording and soloing skills on guitar; or an enthusiastic six-year-old who becomes fascinated with all the different sounds he or she can make on the piano. Imagine the possibilities!
Students are welcome to participate at biannual piano recitals (usually held at Humbercrest United Church), guitar jams, and adult student events. All of these functions offer a chance for students to work up pieces for performance and to engage with peers. In the spring, those who are taking part in piano or guitar exams are encouraged to participate in our free exam workshops where students play for each other in a masterclass setting.
Learning to play an instrument can be an enriching and confidence-building experience. At Music House, teachers welcome all eager students for lessons.
