Parking is at a premium in our fair city. And there never seems to be enough of it. But did you know that there is parking on Jane Street right in front of our house? The only forbidden times on Jane Street are between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. After 6 p.m. there is no time limit . If possible, please park on Jane Street during parking hours to avoid congestion on Weatherell. If you do park on the side streets, make sure to park on the correct side of the street, and not illegally on Weatherell. There have been some people who have been stopping their cars on Weatherell on the wrong side of street, however this is not a safe option. If there are no parking spaces on Weatherell, there usually are some within a two block distance.
We'd also like to remind you to come in and pick up your children rather than have them wait in front of the house to be picked up. While the weather can be nasty at times, the safety of our students and your children are more important than an extra block walked.
Remember to reread our cancellation policy below!

You've probably noticed that we've reconfigured the entrance to the studios. This was done primarily to improve the traffic flow on the landing. While there was not much room for shoes and people in the past, we now hope that you will kindly remove your shoes at the top of the stairs. The outward-opening door should remedy the problem of the door opening on those who are trying to put on shoes. Also, especially if the weather is inclement, wet boots and shoes left on feet makes it less pleasant for those who *have* removed their footwear.
Payments in cheque form made out to your teacher's names are due at the beginning of the month and should include all lessons for the month. Please check your calendar and include the number of weeks that fall on the day of the week on which you have your lessons. For example, if your lessons are on Tuesdays, then look to find out if there are four or five Tuesdays in the month. This ensures a two-way commitment: 1) the commitment to showing up and participating in the month's lessons, and 2) our commitment to hold your spot for you. Scheduling is often a delicate matter requiring logistical gymnastics, so please understand that your time-slot is your reserved time-slot.
Post-dated cheques for the first day of each month of lessons are the preferred payment option. Not only does this secure students' spots but it lessens the amount of 'reminding' your teachers need to do.
If you must cancel, please give us as much notice as possible so that alternate arrangements can be made to make up missed lessons. These will take place at a mutually agreed upon time. We generally do not make up make-up lessons so if students "forget" about a lesson or fail to show up for a rescheduled lesson. When students 'forget' about lessons, your teachers are left waiting for you to show up, using up valuable studio time that others may have used. These lessons will be considered forfeited.
Please make an effort to make up canceled lessons. Consistent lessons are vital to progress at one's instrument.
